Founded in 1754, Hillsborough is rich in history and old southern charm.  The town of Hillsborough sits along the Eno River and is the county seat for Orange County.  Although its population was just around 6,100 in 2010, major residential development is on the horizon to help satisfy the Triangle’s housing needs.  Rest assured, Hillsborough’s City Fathers will keep a watchful eye to make sure this quaint town will not lose its charm at the expense of expansion and quality of life.
