Exciting Grapevine Developments

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting with Bob Farley, Economic and Business Director for the City of Grapevine! I was blown away and was pretty much bouncing in my seat with excitement as he shared with me some of the outstanding new developments coming to the city! Grapevine is becoming one of the most desirable area to live, visit and play!

With the recent announcement of Kubota, a Japan-based manufacturer breaking ground on its new $50 Million headquarter campus in Grapevine, which will create over 1000 jobs, as well as Mercedes-Benz building a new parts center and training facility on a  31-acre site, the city of Grapevine  and its surrounding areas is about to see a whole lot of economic and residential growth. Which is perfectly timed up with the new ground breaking  TEX Rail, which will follow the existing rail lines from downtown Fort Worth, to downtown Grapevine and then into the north entrance of DFW Airport.....and get this the TEX Rail is projected to serve more than 9,000 daily riders by the end of 2018, and by 2035 nearly 14,000 daily riders are projected to ride the system!

Also, super exciting (especially for families) Stand Rock Resort & Water Park is joining the likes of The Gaylord and Great Wolf Lodge! Stand Rock will be a new $330 Million Resort which will have 820 suites and 200 condominiums, along with amenities like miniature golf, laser tag, a ropes course, and indoor and outdoor water parks. The resort will be on what is currently known as the Palmeiro Tract, a parcel of land that the city bought in 2013 from former Texas Rangers player Rafael Palmeiro.

Lastly, I wanted to also share that Fieldhouse USA, an expansive Indoor Sports Facility is coming to Grapevine Mills! If you are like me, during the summer, my kids and I pretty much lived at Grapevine Mills, finally this year I gave in and purchased our family season passes to Sea Life! Well Grapevine Mills just got even better! Fiedhouse USA, projected to open early 2017, will be a 106,000-square-foot facility which will include nine basketball and nine volleyball courts, offering year-round league play in team sports such as basketball, volleyball and indoor soccer!
