Exploring Jackson Michigan and Surrounding Area
Decided to take the kiddos out for dinner, BUT, I didn’t plan it too well. I didn’t think about making reservations anywhere, I didn’t consider checking into a restaurant and carrying around one of the beepers while we were shopping, and I sure didn’t consider that Jackson would be so busy. Poor planning on my end, landed us at a restaurant that I wasn’t too sure of at first, Steve’s Ranch Family Restaurant. Located in the downtown area, on the corner of Blackstone and Louis Glick Hwy.
There was no wait what-so-ever, we were able to get right in and be seated, which is great when you have four children with you. Although it was a little pricier than I wanted, the food and service were OUTSTANDING! The atmosphere was that of a ranch, with a covered wagon housing the salad bar. We opted for the all-you-can-eat buffet which consisted of prim rib, ham, and chicken. The waitress was more than pleasant and the staff were all kind.
I know the kids enjoyed Steve’s Ranch Family Restaurant as well. They received ice cream with sprinkles (on the house), and they all wanted to go back the next morning for the breakfast. One of the kids even wanted to make it “our” place. She said “you know how in the movies, families have that one restaurant where they always go and when they get there, everyone knows who they are…we should make here that place for us, and it be our place.” I have to say, I laughed out loud.
All-in-all, Steve’s Ranch Family Restaurant is HIGHLY recommended and encouraged. It’s a great place! Check out their Facebook page @ https://www.facebook.com/pages/Steves-Ranch/113697791998226
