Imagine this: A woman in Charleston, SC was moving on after her husband had passed & the day before closing someone called her
to instruct her to wire $58,000 before the end of the day. INSTEAD of calling her Realtor or Attorney, she diligently followed the caller's instructions.....the next day at the closing she found out it WAS NOT anyone related to the purchase and is OUT $58,000 with NO RECOURSE!!!

BEWARE OF CYBER-FRAUD Before wiring any funds, call the intended recipient at a number you know is valid to confirm the instructions - and be very wary of any request to change wire instructions you already received. A closing attorney employee will never provide nor confirm wire instructions. |
